Michael LaDisa

Michael LaDisa graduated from the University of North Texas earning a Bachelor of Arts with concentrations in piano and percussion.  His fields of study included music theory and composition.  Michael was hired as Supplemental Instructor of Music Theory for the UNT College of Music and has taught private lessons for more than twenty years.  Michael has earned a Master of Arts in Intercultural and Urban Studies from Moody Theological Seminary and is the Music & Gospel Arts Manager at The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Chicago.  Michael has provided musicianship and leadership to music ministries with over a dozen churches in Milwaukee, Dallas, and Chicago.  He has been called upon as a composer, arranger and producer for film scores, commercials, solo artists and ensembles.  His educational work with students has been covered by WGN-TV Evening News and WVON 1690AM radio.  Michael emphasizes a linguistic approach to music education, which partners ear training with equal value to score reading in developing musicianship.
